Doug Williams - Land Advisor
Born and raised on the Eastern Shore Mr. Williams grew up on family farms in western Wicomico County. This early lifestyle contributed to his gaining knowledge and understanding in all aspects of agriculture. Mr. Williams resided in Hebron, MD until his move to Delaware 5 years ago. With a Harrington DE address, Mr. Williams now resides just inside Delaware between Harrington DE and Denton MD. This location gives him easy access to Northern Sussex and Kent County Delaware along with Caroline, Talbot, Queen Annes and Kent Counties in Maryland. An avid deer hunter, Mr. Williams has a thorough understanding of deer habitat, state hunting regulations and managing property for wildlife enhancement.
Mr. Williams is licensed in Maryland, Delaware & Virginia as a Professional Land Surveyor. He brings over 26 years experience in surveying with expertise in boundary surveys, topographic/hydrographic surveys, ALTA/ACSM land title surveys, construction surveys, plan and profile surveys, subdivision development, commercial development, utilities for public agencies and private industry, right-of-way and easement acquisition, geodetic control surveys, and legal descriptions. Doug has over 18 years experience with GPS/GIS surveying, including static GPS, real-time kinematic GPS, and mapping-grade/GIS GPS. Additionally, he has extensive experience in utilizing the GPS data in standard Cad systems as well as ArcView and ArcMap. He is responsible for marketing, job acquisition, proposal preparation, supervision of field and office personnel and oversight of GPS and 3D Laser Scanning Surveying at the Georgetown DE office. These experiences combined give Doug a thorough understanding of the technical aspects of both the field and office operations and the strategic use of the resources available. Additionally, Mr. Williams is employed with WorWic Community College in Salisbury, MD teaching college level surveying courses.
Mr. Williams provides professional direction and technical expertise to the surveying staff and has served as Principal In Charge and / or Lead Surveyor for a variety of projects including:
-NRCS Wetland Reserve Easements (WRE), Statewide in MD & DE – Lead surveyor on numerous Federal contracts involving WRE (formerly WRP) Easements in both Maryland and Delaware. Projects ranged in size from 5 acres to 700+ acres.
-E. A. Vaughn Wildlife Management Area, Worcester County, Maryland – Lead Field Surveyor for a 566 acre boundary survey for the State of Maryland Department of Resources. Project consisted of deed research, SHA plat retrieval, deed mosaics, GPS control, field reconnaissance, location of boundary evidence and quality control of project.
